2°C to 8°C Commercial Beverage Display Refrigeration for Supermarkets, Convenience Stores & Retail Businesses

A commercial beverage refrigerator needs to do more than keep drinks cold.

For supermarkets, convenience stores, beverage shops, petrol stations, cafés, restaurants and bars, the refrigerator is also part of the product merchandising system. Customers need to see beverages clearly, staff need to replenish products efficiently, and the refrigeration system needs to maintain stable cooling during continuous commercial operation.

The LINKOOL Commercial Upright Beverage Cooler is designed for professional beverage display applications, combining 2°C to 8°C cooling, fan-forced air circulation, automatic defrost, electronic temperature control, adjustable product display capacity and glass-door merchandising.

The KLG series is available in single-, double-, triple- and four-door configurations, with published capacities from approximately 600L to 2060L, allowing B2B buyers to select a configuration according to store size, beverage SKU requirements and available floor space.

Why Choose an Upright Beverage Display Refrigerator?

A commercial beverage cooler has two important functions:

Refrigerate the products + Display the products

Unlike a conventional closed storage refrigerator, a glass-door upright beverage cooler allows customers to see the products before opening the cabinet.

This is particularly important for beverages such as:

  • Bottled water
  • Soft drinks
  • Juice
  • Energy drinks
  • Beer
  • Dairy beverages
  • Ready-to-drink products
  • Packaged chilled beverages

The upright structure also makes use of vertical retail space, allowing more products to be displayed within a relatively compact floor area.

For B2B retailers, this means the refrigerator can become part of the sales display rather than simply functioning as back-of-house storage.

1. +2°C to +8°C Cooling for Chilled Beverage Applications

The KLG commercial beverage cooler is designed for an operating temperature range of approximately +2°C to +8°C.

This temperature range is suitable for many everyday chilled beverage applications.

Typical products include:

Bottled Water

A dedicated refrigerated display can keep bottled water visible and readily accessible to customers.

Soft Drinks

Cans and bottles can be organized across multiple adjustable shelves.

Juice & Dairy Beverages

Chilled juice, milk drinks and other packaged beverages can be displayed according to their applicable storage requirements.

Energy Drinks & Ready-to-Drink Products

Vertical shelf space allows retailers to create dedicated sections for high-turnover beverage categories.

The actual storage temperature should always follow the product manufacturer's requirements and applicable food-safety regulations.

2. Fan Cooling for Multi-Shelf Beverage Display

The KLG series uses a fan cooling system.

This is particularly relevant for upright display refrigeration because beverages are stored across multiple vertical shelf levels.

A fan-forced refrigeration system circulates cooled air through the cabinet rather than relying only on natural convection.

The basic cooling process can be understood as:

Evaporator → Fan → Cooled Air → Display Area → Return Air

Effective air circulation helps distribute refrigerated air through the product display area.

However, actual temperature uniformity depends on multiple factors, including:

  • Ambient temperature
  • Ambient humidity
  • Door-opening frequency
  • Product loading
  • Product arrangement
  • Airflow design
  • Set temperature

For this reason, buyers should evaluate temperature performance using defined test conditions rather than judging refrigeration performance from the cooling method alone.

3. Automatic Defrost for Easier Commercial Operation

Frost can become a maintenance issue in commercial refrigeration equipment.

When warm and humid air enters a refrigerator through frequent door opening, moisture can condense and potentially freeze on cold surfaces.

Excessive frost may restrict airflow and reduce heat-transfer efficiency.

The KLG series uses an automatic defrost system to manage frost during normal operation.

This reduces the need for operators to rely on frequent manual defrosting.

For stores with high customer traffic, automatic defrost is particularly valuable because the refrigerator may be opened repeatedly throughout the day.

For demanding high-humidity applications, buyers should also evaluate:

  • Door sealing
  • Evaporator design
  • Airflow
  • Drainage
  • Defrost control
  • Ambient humidity

4. Electronic Temperature Control

The KLG series uses electronic temperature control.

Electronic control allows the operator to monitor and manage the cabinet temperature more conveniently than a basic mechanical control system.

For commercial refrigeration, temperature control should be considered together with:

  • Cooling capacity
  • Air circulation
  • Cabinet insulation
  • Door sealing
  • Ambient conditions
  • Product loading

A reliable temperature-control system is especially important when the refrigerator is used continuously in a commercial retail environment.

5. Glass Door Display for Better Beverage Merchandising

A beverage refrigerator is also a merchandising tool.

The glass-door design allows customers to see the products inside without opening the cabinet.

This can make it easier for shoppers to:

  • Identify beverage brands
  • Compare different products
  • Locate cold drinks
  • Find promotional items
  • Make faster purchasing decisions

For retailers, product visibility can be especially important for impulse-purchase beverages.

The result is a simple merchandising principle:

Better visibility → easier product selection → more effective beverage presentation

6. Multiple Door Configurations for Different Store Sizes

Not every retailer requires the same amount of refrigerated display capacity.

The KLG series provides configurations from one door to four doors.

This allows the equipment to be matched to different retail formats.

Single-Door Beverage Cooler

The single-door configuration is suitable for:

  • Small convenience stores
  • Cafés
  • Restaurants
  • Small beverage shops
  • Supplementary beverage displays

The published KLG-750 configuration provides approximately 600L of capacity.

Two-Door Beverage Cooler

The two-door configuration provides additional display capacity for stores with a larger beverage SKU range.

The published KLG-1253 configuration provides approximately 1000L.

Three-Door Beverage Cooler

The three-door configuration is suitable for supermarkets, larger convenience stores and beverage retailers requiring a wider display area.

The published KLG-1880 configuration provides approximately 1530L.

Four-Door Beverage Cooler

The four-door configuration provides the largest display area within this series.

The published KLG-2500 configuration provides approximately 2060L.

7. Choosing the Right Capacity for Your Store

Capacity should not be selected simply according to the largest available model.

A better approach is to consider:

Available floor space + Beverage SKU quantity + Product turnover + Display requirements

Small Retail Stores

A single-door unit can provide dedicated beverage refrigeration without requiring a large installation area.

Medium-Sized Stores

Two- or three-door configurations can provide more merchandising space while allowing products to be organized by category.

Supermarkets

Three- and four-door configurations are suitable for larger beverage sections where retailers need greater display capacity.

For B2B projects, the best configuration should be determined using the customer's actual store layout and product mix.

Big Size Evaporation Fan

High-efficiency fan ensures rapid air circulation and even temperature distribution throughout the cabinet.

Inside LED Lighting

Bright, energy-saving vertical LED lights enhance product visibility and create an attractive display.

Door Frame

Made of durable aluminum alloy or PVC (optional), providing a sleek appearance and excellent sealing performance.

Strong Wires Shelves

Adjustable PVC-coated shelves allow flexible product placement and easy cleaning.

Branded Compressor

Donper/Huayi /secop/embraoc

 R290a environment protect gas.

Casters (Wheels)

Heavy-duty universal casters make movement and placement effortless, with front brakes for added stability.
